Our Programmes

Health and Nutrition

The interventions include; Maternal, New Born, Child and Adolescent health and Nutrition (MNCAH) focused at preventing and responding to community health preventable and non-communicable diseases such as Malnutrition, maternal, Neo-natal, child and adolescent’s health, high morbidity and mortality neonate and child including reproductive health complications, HIV/AIDS, mental health and psychosocial problems. Through community preventive and curative approaches such as health systems strengthening, clinical outreaches, social behavioral change and communication methodologies (Care Group model, Positive Deviance-PD Hearth, Gender Roles, Equality and Transformation)


Promotion of the rights, gender equality, equity, diversity through interventions;

i) Gender Based Violence prevention and response

ii) Rights protection

iii) Peace conflict prevention and Transitional Justice for marginalized women, children, youth, persons with Disabilities, Refugees and host communities, old persons and other socially excluded persons(right holders) in conflict, disaster affected and poor communities.

Agriculture and sustainable Livelihoods

PACHEDO prioritizes on;

i) availability of food and nutritious food items at humanitarian emergencies and development programs for vulnerable women, children, youth such as Pregnant and Lactating women, children under 5, Orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC), older persons.

ii) Strengthening of community and household resilience for improved food security and nutritious security at emergencies, post recovery and development.

iii) Entrepreneurship and market access for sustainable livelihoods and development of poor economies.

Climate resilient agriculture interventions and approaches such as Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), Water shed management, Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA), Value addition –Agro processing for sustainable livelihoods for community preventive and adaptation to the impact of climate change, disasters. While improving and promoting food and nutritious security and diversity. Entrepreneurship, market access in fighting hunger, malnutrition and other related disease, poverty and increase sustainable livelihood options.


PACHEDO is profound for its’ over 10 years success and experience in humanitarian recovery education for children, women and youth in conflict, disaster and poverty affected communities. The interventions include enhancement of integrated;

i) Early child hood Development,

ii) Primary education,

iii) community transition learning Program-CTLP (Accelerated Learning Program-ALP) and iv) Vocational and apprenticeship aligned to government education curriculum and policies, relevant transition skills that address the barriers.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

PACHEDO is award winning organization in WASH e.g. Neptune award in 2016, UWASNET as Assistant coordinating organization1 for Northern Uganda with interventions that included; Sanitation, Water supply and management, Hygiene promotion and Integrated water management at school, community and institutions.
