Women And Youth Resilience Project

Women and Youth Resilience Project (WAYREP) Funded by Austrian Development Agency through CARE international. The project target population is Gulu Municipality and it has 4 key result areas that include Sustainable and dignified livelihoods, GBV reduction, psychosocial support provision to the GBV survivors and social accountability to the target population by the existing government and non government Organizations. The project designed methodologies used to implement the project includes not limited to: soft skills training, Vocational training, job placement, Y/VSLA and multipurpose cash transfer (MPCT) to the most vulnerable women and youths. Under the result area of GBV, approaches include; role model men and boys (RMM/B), behavioral change and communication and SASA methodologies . Psychosocial support is implemented through case management (IPT, Group counseling), Appropriate use of the referral frameworks for the Survivors care and satisfaction. And social accountability is implemented by engaging with the beneficiaries in dialogues, debates and other platforms organized by the project in Gulu . Score cards are used to assess beneficiary satisfaction of the services provided by the project.
